PROVA 730 Micro Ohmmeter can accurately measure very low resistance down to 1u (10-6) Ohms with 0.1u (10-7 ) Ohms resolution at 10A test current.
PROVA 730 adopts 4 wire measurement method to remove the error caused by the resistance of the test lead. PROVA 730 comes with three different kinds of Kelvin probes (regular type, double prods and alligator clips) for many test applications. Users can operate the instrument immediately without any further purchases of specific kelvin clips.
The design of PROVA 730 embeds a safety precaution feature to protect the instrument, such as checking the potential of the DUT. The test will not proceed if voltage carried by the device over 0.2V is detected. PROVA 730 also checks if the nominal test current is sufficient as listed. PROVA 730 also designs a function to compensate for the error caused by the Electromotive Force (EMF) of temperature or chemical interaction.
Users can easily implement the PASS/FAIL quality control test by programing the hi and lo limits on the LCD. If the measured resistance is within the specified range, the LCD will show symbol of PASS. Otherwise, PROVA 730 will show FAIL with 3 beeps of buzzer sound.
Low resistance (u ohms range) is very crucial in many applications. If low resistance is not assured at high test current (10A), hazard situations might occur during the application of checking aircraft bonding. If the resistance of the aircraft bonding is not small enough, all the instruments on the aircraft might be damaged during the lightning strike. That is why a micro ohmmeter is required.
